The thread milling has many advantages, such as the possibility to cut threads near to the bottom of blind holes, required tolerance adjustable as per users choice, for threads with interrupted cut or with oblique entrance or exit, for thin-walled workpieces, one thread milling cutter for different materials, good chip evacuation due to the short chips and high surface quality of the cut thread, the cutting speeds and feed rates can be matched individually to each workpiece material, a possible tool breakage does not automatically entail scrapping of the workpiece.
